DS does not have an SD slot. That didn't start until the DSi when you could download digital-only titles.

There is an updated(?) / modified version of Super Mario 64 for DS called Super Mario 64 DS that was a launch title for the DS, so is about 11 years old at this point, so it may be hard to track down a copy.

i'm not sure about the sd card, but you can play super mario 64 ds on a ds lite. it's similar to the original, but has better graphics, more stars, and more characters to play as, as well as some new mechanics and minigames. if you can find it, i'd get it.

I think Super Mario 64 is a 3DS game. If that's the case, then a DS Lite won't work.

If it's a regular DS game, it would be compatible, but I highly doubt it's a DS game.

Nintendo's Nintendo 3DS can play Nintendo DS, Nintendo DSi and Nintendo 3DS Titles, this would be easier to find then Nintendo's Nintendo DS Systems.
