Left side of Iphone not responding?

My friend smashed her iphone 5c screen and today I took it to someone to get it repaired. The man asks you to type in your password after the screen is repaired. I typed it in and all was well for a while. However, now the left side of the screen won't respond which is obviously annoying plus her password contains a 1 which is on the left side. Do you think it could be the connections inside coming loose? What should I do about it?
