Excuses to not babysit my neighbors kid?

Tonight I am supposed to babysit my neighbors kid but i don't want to. He said he wasn't completely sure if I would do it tonight, but now he says I am. What can I do to get out of this? I don't want to be rude considering I'm supposed to head over there in 2 hours, but I don't want too!

Well, you promised and you have to do it now. The sooner you learn to be accountable and responsible, the faster you will be an adult. After that, just say you don't want to do the job anymore.

Well since you already said yes it would be extremely rude to cancel now unless something came up. It's hard for parents to find babysitters so you would be ruining their plans by being selfish. If you really didn't want to do it you should've never agreed.

Stand for what you say. Prepare to get over there. And next time, don't say yes unless you are sure you want.

at least give him some type of notice if you dont want to but if you said you would its only fair if you do
