Yes, and?

The statement is not entirely true though. You can get white wine from red grapes if the skins are removed soon enough - all the colour is in the skins. There are champagnes that are made this way.

No, white wine can be made with black grapes, white wine has the grape skins removed, red wine is made with the grape skins included.

No. Red wine is made with red grapes. White wine can be made from either. If the skins of red grapes are removed the wine will be white. White wine from white grapes is called Blanc de Blanc.

Maceration of the juice in the skin of the berries that are traditionally called "black" produces red wine. White wine is normally produced by "white" berries, which are, of course, generally a light green color. Some champagnes, as an example, are blanc de noirs, made from black berries but with the maceration process avoided. And of course when the bottom dropped out of the zinfandel market some years ago, one enterprising man got rid of his crop by making that abominable "white zin" that s cursed us ever since.

Pretty much, but it is not that simple, there are different varieties of grapes that are used in making wine.

Red grapes can produce white or red wine. White grapes produce white wine. The red color of the wine comes from the skins. The juice of grapes is pretty clear.

Makes sense, but no. All grape juice is clear to start with. To make red wine, the grapes are crushed, then the juice is permitted to soak in the crushed grape remains, most important being the skins, for an extended period of time, to give it color (and a stronger taste). White wine is permitted only a short soaking in the skins, (either white grapes or red) and therefore has only a pale color and mild taste. I don't think it matters how long you soak white-grape (or red-grape) juice in white-grape skins, it won't impart color, as it has none to impart. I'm not sure how red grape JUICE such as we buy in stores differs from white grape juice. To prove this to yourself, get some dark grapes (red, purple, borderline black), and squeeze them by hand into a small bowl. Anemic color at best.
