- Records / Vinyl
- Modern Vintage Clothing (whatever I can get for a good price to sell in the store)
- Modern Victorian Era Clothing (whatever I can get for a good price to sell in the store)
- Recently new DSLR cameras (within, maybe, past 5 years max)
- Non-Apple tablets (like Samsung)
- Used cds and dvds of modern music, tv shows, and movies - since its 2015, I would have anything from 2010 to 2015.
- On a side note, I recently started thinking about this question and thinking about the above things, but also, I was thinking about a thrift store for people in their 20s and early 30s. The only thrift stores in my area are 1 (one) Platos Closet (Platos Closet is for teens - from age 12/13 to age 18/19) and 2 (two) thrift stores catering to people who are 35 - 45 years old. Theres nothing in between for people in their 20s and 30s (or even early 30s). But it was only an idea though. I dont think it'll ever happen.
Ice cream

I would sell a lot of old retro games at a good affordable price. I would also sell all of the great toys from the 90s. When you come in the store the first week of opening; you get 25 percent of any item you want coupon. There will be buy one get the other half off sales too. You will also be treated to a snack & soda or juice of your choice at checkout. I want to be like toys r us but more affordable; family friendly. I actually had this idea since i was a kid. Kids will probably be drolling all over the carpet after seeing all the cool toys i would have for them =).

South African products!
I'm proud to be South African and there's lots of good websites to buy these products from and there's not enough South African shops. My closest one in the UK, Devon was in Taunton but I heard a rumour that it got closed down sadly and i was very sad as all my childhood products were there and I wanted to share my culture with my friends and was going to plan a day trip there :( So sad, oh well! I'm sure there's others <3
So yeah I'd sell South african sweets etc
Anal plugs Dildoes Vibrators, Rubber Sextoys, Pornography, Lubes, . Adult toys and clothing. Anything that makes Me rich and successful. There's money in Porn and Adult Toy's . This junk is cheap to make and buy wholesale and the markups are ridiculous so why not? Someone is getting rich off of selling it so why not Me? You may not personally like it but this is about making money and there is money in this industry.
In one side I have thought of selling books recently a bakery since my brother and he's wife seems to like baking. Me I'm not sure I don't bake I never felt I could bake freely since I need my mom's knowledge that I was and her being there. I am sure that I can be cash register and the books since it would be my idea to even start. In middle school I thought of book selling I even thought it would be in way attached to my house since I was thinking in transportation getting to work and having ideas of having a library and a publishing office attached all together. After all I have wanted to be a librarian and a publisher. If it is ever possible because I have not done anything yet besides floor plans to get even to build like money I would sell books but is not likely to happen to because so much to do at once to even get it started in time in a vastly pace as possible. I still need to relocate where I left my floor plans at or make new once because I find them the most perfect possible functional building ever that meets my needs to get around. I am sorry mine answer is not as simple as are but I have thought a ton of this topic before it even was possible to view.
Video games, cannabis, or harvested human souls. Whatever's legal and thriving at the time.
I would sell music CD's just music.
First of all I'll find a gap in the market within the area, so if there is anything missing like the area does not sell furnitures, or there is no coffee shop, then ill open a shop within that area that has a gap in, and also a high demand for.
Props for practical jokes. Rubber Scrambled Eggs, White Chocolate shaped like soap bars, Inkpad Binoculars,
Old punk/metal cds, records, vinyls, cassette players, merch etc....yeah im old school xD I'm sure some people still like this stuff amd collect em
It'd be a thrift shop meant only for retro things so if say a fur-real-friend got donated, we'd donate it to a children's charity. We'd accept those donations which don't match our theme and give them to people who need them rather than sell them on our shelves alongside the vintage stuff. Or have a music shop only selling every sub genre of rock and rock only.
MODEST clothes. I'm sick of how society expects woman to dress.... it's disgusting. It's so hard to find cute modest clothes now days.
Guns and girls in high heals. Just joking about the girls. Guns,Guns and more guns.

I like the idea of selling home made tapestries. Any kind of decorative hangings to display on the wall really.
A successful high street store owned by a small business in 2015? Good luck with that. You won't even cover the costs of running the store, let alone make profit. The only store worth opening is on Ebay, you can operate your business from home, don't need to employ staff, and not worry about shoplifters.

Things like saxophones, 70-90's albums and vinyls, phonographs, game membership cards, retro and rustic stuff, puzzles, paintings, books, teddy bears. Amazing little inventions that will help heal the world. Part 80-90's bar, part ranchy cafe. And hopefully the nostalgic and the milliennials will find joy in being able to feel (again) how it was like in the old days. I'm not even sure if these kind of stores will survive the modern world now, but it is a dream come true for some.

Realistically, in order to compete with the world of online sales as a brick and mortar store, you have to be willing to appeal to as many people as possible. 6 years ago I opened up what I wanted to be a vintage toy store. Since then, I have added new toys, retro and new games and game systems, used genre paperbacks, used vintage t-shirts, comic books, CDs, DVDs and Blu-Rays. Am I independently wealthy...? Not even close, but we at least have more customers than when we were just a vintage toy store.
Occult things. Ancient antiques. Weapons.

I'd sell garden tools and garden decorations and garden seeds and garden books and nature books and fairy and nature kids books and lockets and bracelets, and fairy models and in my nature shop, there will be a garden that people can look at when they're not buying inside the shop, and there will be beautiful flowers and a bench and a lake and there will be baby birds for sale that got lost from their parents. And it will feel like nature. In the garden friendly deer could come around sometimes and visit the shoppers. I hope the shoppers will like my imaginary shop, even though it's not real. Oh, and I forgot to mention, squirrels and chipmunks come to the garden sometimes. And there are tadpoles and frogs and toads and fish to observe in the lake, too. I don't know about a store (I'd rather work from home) but Id set up a website and sell clothes that I design and make. Id make 3 copies of everthing. One to keep for myself to wear, one to keep as proof of my own design and one to send off. The one sent off would be criticised and if accepted to be good enough to sell then itd be replicated and sold either on line or in store and if not then itd come back to me and itd be an outfit that i designed and made but was regected. That way id have loads of clothes, make money, and be able to wear things that I design. I could make it into a website, store and even a fasion line. I could even make a magazine and hire models to show off the clothes, i could even be a model even if not because of my looks/body but for publicity.
