There have been many times where i went to get blood work done and they can never find my vein there was this on doctor who felt it idk how but she found it and took blood out. Other then that they usually take blood from like my hands. Tomorrow there is a blood drive in my school and im kinda embarrassed like what if they cant find my vein and they tell me i cant donate. All my friends are doing it and i want to of course be able to donate so i can help someone out. What should i do all tell them cus im pretty sure those people arent as good as the doctor who found my vein. Any advice would be great

While vein are not always visible the anatomy of human is the same and an experienced Phlebotomists should be capable of locating yours w/o seeing it.

From wikipedia:
Phlebotomists are people trained to draw blood from a patient for clinical or medical testing, transfusions, donations, or research. Phlebotomists collect blood primarily by performing venipunctures, (or, for collection of minute quantities of blood, fingersticks).

Simply tell them you are a very hard stick so they need their best phlebotomist to access you.

Some people are good at it and can find it. Others will stick you until your arm is bruised and unusable and turns purple. If they don't get your vein on the first try don't let them make a second attempt and just tell your friends you have deep veins that are hard to find. At least you can say you tried.
