Look at the two numbers .. 2/4 and 3/8.

You can, actually, solve this in one of TWO ways:

A) Simply do the division you see before you:
2/4 = 0.5
3/8 = 0.375

B) Get them both with the same number underneath.
2/4 becomes .. 4/8.

In both cases you can now see that 2/4 is bigger than 3/8

Yes; 2/4 is greater than 3/8.

Note that: 2/4 = 4/8.

2/4 = (2*2) / (4*2) = 4/8. And "4 out 8 is greater than "3 out of 8".

So, 2/4 is greater than 2/8.

Yes , because 2/4 = 0.50 and 3/8 = 0.375

so 2/4 is greater than 3/8

Yes, 2/4 is greater than 3/8

2/4 = 0.5
3/8 = 0.375
0.5 is greater than 0.375

yes....multiply 2/4 by 2 on both sides...4/8. You can now tell which one is greater because they are both divided by the same number. so 4/8 is greater than 3/8.

yes by 1/8

2*2/4*2 = 4/8

4/8-3/8 = 1/8

Is 2/4 greater than 3/8
Solution
2/4=0.5
3/8=0.375
So 0.5>0.037 hope you get it now..

Well, some mathematically inclined people can tell directly, but as you ask for help, I should explain. make the bottom number, the denominator, the same in both. In this case that means multiplying both the 2 and 4 in the first fraction by 2, which gives 4/8. Since 4 is greater than 3, 4/8 is greater than 3/8 (imagine a pie in 8 slices, which is more, 3 slices or 4 ?). Therefore 2/4 is greater than 3/8.

2/4 = 3/8
=> 8x2 = 4x3
=> 16 > 12
So the 2/4 is greater than 3/8

2/4 = (2*2)/(4*2)= 4/8
so, 4/8 > 3/8 i.e. 1/2 > 3/8
