How do you give points to people and make them your best answer? you will get 10 points?

To have someone who answered your question get points and Award a Best Answer on a Question you asked... Switch to desktop mode if on mobile..
Wait 1 hour after asking your Question, at any time after that you can Choose a Best Answer.
There is no time limit to do that.

Go back to the Question and under each Answer will be Award Best Answer.
Click Award Best Answer under the Answer you like best and rate it with 1 - 5 stars and Submit.
Click your avatar to see your questions.

You can leave a Comment on that Answer or any others in the Comment box under the answer before or after you submit.
You will get 3 points for choosing Best Answer and the one who answered instead of getting 10 points will get 20 points (this month only) and 1 extra for any thumbs up it has. <<<<Points are automatically given by Yahoo.

You do not give any one any points.

When you select an answer as BA, the Answers computer will award them the 10 points
You can give 0-5 green stars to indicate how satisfied you are with the answer.
You can also leave a comment to them. We have appealed to Answers to post you their replies to you so you will know that you get a reply
As they don't unless you go back repeatedly you will not know
