friends dad is abusive?

my friends father is abusive and pushed her down the stairs (she caught her self from falling all the way) and he grabbed her mothers arm and might have broken it. her mom told us not to tell anyone but i feel the need to. what shoukd i do?

try to convince your friend or her mom to tell someone because otherwise you might break your friends trust and it would get them no where

talk to the police about it, he needs to spend some time in jail to learn its not cool to do that,
