Herpes and HIV are two totally different diseases, and they have no relation to each other. Herpes makes you itch. HIV can potentially kill you.

It's not a 'known fact'. But having herpes can make you more unacceptable to getting HIV, because you have open sores or blisters that HIV can travel through more easily.
