如採用聯名戶口，表面證據上此戶口內的任何款項均由夫婦兩人共同擁有，除非有相反意圖（例如只為方便某些用途而開立聯名戶口），則作別論。
如果丈夫使用聯名戶口內的款項去購買股票或物業並納入自己名下，表面證據上這些財產屬於他個人擁有。但如夫婦雙方已將所有財產混為一起共用，就算丈夫為聯名戶口款項貢獻更多，法庭亦可能認為該聯名戶口是共同財產，而裁定丈夫從該戶口提款購買的財物為夫婦雙方平均擁有。
