Would a camera used for hunting make for a good hidden camera if you hid it well?

The problem with many hunting critter cameras is the near-IR emitters are visible to humans as a dull red glow. You would need to put a better filter over the emitters or change out the emitters to something that can't be seen. The other issue is the size of the camera, rather large and bulky. You would need to camouflage for the environment you plan to be in.
