Problem fitting pc liquid cooling?
I want to buy a 240mm dual fan closed loop cpu cooler to my case, but it won't fit inside. My idea is, as I keep the side panel off anyway, to loop some string or wire through the radiator fixing holes and tie the radiator/fan assembly to the lid of my case, so that it hangs down. Other than the assembly swinging around when I move the pc, is this arrangement viable ?

I'd go with a smaller (120mm single fan) cooler.
It seems you are making a mountain out of a mole hill. When it is uncomfortably warm outdoors most individuals will close all windows and start some sort of cooling device...ie...airconditioner, swamp cooler...etc.
That conditioned air, with proper circulation, is more than sufficient. Personally, I have both side panels removed from my tower with a small fan circulating air through and around all components and have never had an issue with overheating.
KEEP IT SIMPLE.
If you already have the system you have identified then have a chat with the manufacturer for possible ideas on mounting.
