Which is the best? Ok i know every single one of them has their own ups and downs dont just repeat things like "you cant compare them" etc. I'll have like 5 days to spend in China before Korea or Japan. So i have to choose the best out of all. Thank you for help.

Stay away from Beijing the air quality there is way above safe limits - of the others HK has the best overall experience

Living one day in Beijing means shortening your life span one day too because of the air polution.

The air in bejing is terrible I think some study said staying there for a month is like smoking a pack of cigarettes. I would go to Taiwan, its much more clean, it has a lot of tourist attractions and u don't have to deal woth communism haha

Hong Kong isn't a city , it has special region status of the PRC . One country , two systems . Reason ? Money !
Hong Kong sells billions of dollars in products .
Macau is also not a city . The place to go if you like to gamble .
I suggest you look at tour books for each place.
Then decide .
Beijing has a high degree of air pollution . If you have allergies you'll want to avoid that area .

Beijing. A fusion of modern & vintage.

I would go to Beijing where you can also spend a day or two at the Great Wall.

if you never been to China and only have 5 days just go to Beijing alone, it is a huge place, Forbidden Palace would take 1 day, Summer Palace 1 day, Badaling Great Wall 3/4 day,

What would make a city "the best" in your eyes?
Beijing has a lot of culture and history.
Shanghai is the commercial and business centre.
Macau, casinos
Hong Kong, modern, crowded but easily navigatable due to language.

As an American tourist, I prefer Beijing because of all the history there, but Hong Kong is much easier to get around on your own because everyone speaks English. In Beijing when I was away from the tourist areas, I had to use a lot of improvised sign language.

Depends on what you want to see: The Forbidden City, or Hong Kong Disneyland?

Never been to Shanghai or Macau.
