1. The length of two similar rectangular prisms are 5cm and 15cm. If the volume of the bigger prism is 810cm^3, find the volume of the smaller prism

2. If the ratio of the areas of two squares is 8:25 and the side of the smaller square measures 28cm, find the area of the bigger square

3. The sum of the areas of two similar triangles is 70cm^2. If the corresponding sides of the triangles are 8 meters and 6 meters, find the area of the smaller triangle.

✔ 最佳答案
1.
810*(5/15)^3 = 810/27 = 30
Ans: 30 cm^3

2.
ratio of the sides = √8 : √25
the side of the bigger square = 28 * ( √25 / √8 )
the area of the bigger square = [ 28 * ( √25 / √8 ) ]^2 = 28^2 * (25/8) = 2450
Ans: 2450 cm^2

3.
Let x denote the area of the smaller triangle
Then the area of the bigger triangle is 70 - x
( 70 - x ) : x = 8^2 : 6:2 = 64 : 36 = 16 : 9
16x = 9( 70 - x )
25x = 630
x = 25.2
Ans: 25.2 cm^2
