Why are people moving to Europe from war torn countries being referred to as migrants instead of refugees?

It's complicated as this article explains: www.bbc.co.uk/news/magazine-34061097 . I personally use the term 'migrants' in a neutral sense to refer to the mass of people moving across Europe because they include both refugees fleeing war torn countries and economic migrants. However, the word is wrongly being used by some in a negative sense to refer to people confirmed as fleeing war torn countries, even those granted asylum, who should be referred to as 'refugees'.

Since when are people from Morocco, Bangladesh, etc, fleeing war in their countries? Muslims from every muslim country in the world are now at the gates of Europe DEMANDING free food, housing, money, and more. Muslims from UNHCR refugee camps brought into Uruguay over a year ago are demanding more & more money, food, - even farms complete with livestock - for their families with as many as 15 children, when they have no skills & have not learned Spanish, therefore cannot get jobs.

This has gotten ridiculous. These people are not refugees. Not even those from UNHCR refugee camps. They are economic migrants who want to live off hard-working citizens of other countries. Make them all go home & do something constructive in their own countries. They are unwilling & unable to support themselves elsewhere. And they refuse to learn the language, culture, job skills, etc, to support themselves & their herds of children.

If they were refugees, they would have gone to the nearest safe refugee camp and been processed by the UN and helped by the red cross.

"refugee" has been given a bad name by millions of scamming immigrants that try to claim that status

because if they were refugees, they would settle in the first safe country and not move by their thousands into germany and britain.

People who migrate from their country for whatever reason are migrants ( from) immigrants ( to) refugees are escaping personal life threatening situations to claim asylum, not all are refugees, some are economic migrants so until each are assessed no one has a clue who they are
