What do other people think of the restaurant called "Five Guys"?

I don't know where all these other people that answered went, but the Five Guys here sucked. Everybody was at first excited and then realized it was a bunch of hype. The shop had to close in just a month. I went once before they sold the mall spot. They didn't even move somewhere else. Nobody here likes the place at all because there are so many better options. The burgers were mealy, the fries soggy. It was a train wreck. They literally got kicked out of town. I tried one elsewhere while traveling. Same thing. I wasn't surprised at all to get badly prepared and low quality food.

But, then, I suppose some other people don't have other options, so places like Five Guys make it to their A list.

Answer: That was a long way of saying I have yet to have a good experience there. It would be the last place I'd pick to have the classic burger and fries.

Their burgers are pretty good, and their portions are pretty big so I have to get a small of everything. They put a lot of fries in the bag.

I like it.

The cajun fries are sooooo good! Everything else is pretty good, but it doesn't seem much different from what you could get at McDonald's or any other fast food burger place.

expensive and over rated. I tried 5 guys once when one opened near me here in south London.
they don't even peel the potatoes when making their chips that's just lazy

Their hamburgers are really good!

The burgers are terrific and the french fry portions are enormous.

I've never tried it, but I want to see what everyone likes about it. I don't want the calorie overload, though.
