It really depends on what you want to do.

In the Army there are more MOS's to choose from, and the Army is bigger, so therefore your chances of getting in/moving up in rank are better.

The Marines are highly selective, and making rank in the Corps is a lot tougher than it is in the Army. Again, which branch you join depends on what you want to do.

Also, with the Army you can pick your MOS. In the Marines, they pick it for you. Something to think about.

You do not want any negative comments, but stated a thing like "I know marines are tougher"?

Go try to Boy Scouts; may be they would, at least, teach you how to spell opportunities correctly.

I know a couple of Navy SEALs and Army Rangers who might like to have a little chat with you about that "Marines are tougher" comment.

There's plenty of apportunitie$ in the Marines.

Every soldier is an Infantryman. I know Marines don't allow themselves to be called soldiers, but when they're under fire and all you can see is their asses hugging the ground, all their asses look the same and they are all bad asses.

The ARMY offers more opportunities unless the, "Needs of The Service," dictate otherwise, which will happen agaisnt you more often based on your attitude and military bearing more than anything else. Be a great soldier, apply for combat specialty schools like Airborne, then Ranger, Pathfinder, SF, Delta, Sniper, Sapper. The more schools you are sent to and you'd better pass them all if you want to advance, the more opportunities will be opened for you. NOTE: All advanced Combat Arms schools begin with jumping out of planes and helicopters, so jump school opens the door, pun intended.

Better at what?
The Army is bigger, so you'd probably have more "apportunitie$" -without the cash since all services pay the same.

Marines get more p*ssy. Army builds character, because you have to fight to prove yourself in the country's most patriotic sh*tpoor organization.
