I don't think anybody knows what really causes urticaria - but it is associated with antibiotics quite a lot. With the overuse of antibiotics over the past 50 years, there's been a lot of this. Doctors will often deny this because they want to keep feeding you more antibiotic.
We often imagine that we're allergic to something when we get urticaria...... but the sad fact is that a cause of it is almost never found. It might actually be psycho-somatic. That would explain why it so mysteriously comes and goes.
Let's hope for you that it will mysteriously GO.
Wet cool wash cloth... and if the doctor will prescribe some, get a supply of Prednisone. This stuff really WORKS - but it's toxic enough so you don't want to be taking it all the time. One strategy is to use a 20-30 mg dose of Prednisone when you get these outbreaks.
