A transverse wave is described by y=(0.40 m)sin[(3.0 rad/m)x + (2.0 rad/s)t]. What is the period of this wave? (3.1 s?)

A 3.0 m long string fized at both ends is vibrating at both ends is vibrating in its third harmonic. The speed of transverse waves on this string is 50 m/s. What is the wavelength of these waves? (5 m ?)

Period = 2 pi/2= pi=3.14 s.
Harmonic you can say = 2 L/n. Here n is harmonic number. L is the length.
lambda= 2*3/3= 2.
Normally the period does not change.
