It can be answered right away, an hour later or never. It depends on the question asked and who sees it and category placement helps too. It is different for each question.How quickly you get answers can be 1 to 5 minutes average.
It is not a promise that you will even get answers, they say usually answered in minutes!.
Even waiting 1 hour is 60 minutes or 2 hours 120 minutes and so on. Some never get answers
and are removed after 7 days. They say usually answered in minutes! and that is not always true and they don't say for sure they will be in very few minutes.

Seconds, minutes, hours, days or never. It all depends if someone sees it and wants to answer. Yahoo removes questions with no answers after 7 days, though some have remained up indefinitely without deletion.

It varies, some questions are never answered and others get answers in seconds.
The biggest majority, over 90%, are "usually answered in minutes!" as promised in the "Ask" section.
