Whenever you watch Youtube videos, the most popular girls like iJustine and JennaMarbles are blonde. And in their videos, there will be all these guys making comments on how beautiful they are. Every girl wants to feel what it's like to basically be worshipped by guys.

And not just by guys, also by Pageant Show judges. Maybe not now a days, but before, the winners were almost always blonde and blue eyed. That was what beauty was. And what makes us so sure that it was the blondeness that was the beauty?

Look at Barbies! Probably the most popular doll for little girls. The original Barbie is blonde with blue eyes. So is Polly Pocket. We learn from a young age that being a blonde is being beautiful.

The guys always say the want the blondes, the judges always pick the blondes, and the pretty dolls are always blonde. It's a society thing. Being blonde=being beautiful. And everybody wants to be beautiful. So they think dying their hair would get them there. And most times, it actually does.

Blonde goes back to barbie and being 'cute' and 'fun'. It's definitely not true. A hair colour does not determine your personality or makes you more attractive - in my opinion.

But I personally don't like when brunettes dye their hair blonde because it's a color which doesn't suit to everyone, especially if the girl has a tanned skin and dark eyes, plus the color turns yellow and we can see hair roots which are darker so it's not beautiful. I think they should stay natural because there is nothing prettier than the natural. A brunette, a chestnut or a redhead can be very beautiful too so no need to dye your hair ladies.

the most common color is brown. im from sweden and here its light blonde (just google up swedish girls..) and this country is full of MANY fake brunnets!! and im not joking. here being a brunette is like the trend. my bestfriend was born with blonde hair and i was born with brown. she colored her hair like mine beacuse she thinks brown/black is better looking. many people ask me about my hair since its natural dark borwn , thick, and culry/wavy and its long ( hip lenght) and i get many compliments. when i was younger i always wanted dark long hair , which i have and many of my friends also wanted it. since i live in a verry swedish nebourghood( almost no immigrants) i look different, oh btw im mixed. half latina half swedish soo that explain a bit. but many many many people i know have colored there hair from blonde to brown. my mom (swedish) is a natural brunnett with light blue eyes ( she basicly remineds me of megan fox ) she colored her hair darker and she even bought brown contact lenses , since she think that brown eyes are the most beautiful , weird right?? well thats beacuse here being blonde and have those '' nash grier'' blue eyes or ''megan fox'' blue eyes aint a big deal. if nash or megan would be swedish they wouldnt get that mouch attention from the swedish socity especally nash who isnt by societys standras handsome.... well people want to diffrent.. imean pretty much evrey one of my friends want/ whises they were afro-american... thats beacuse we like how they look like, its different and beautiful..

Your premise is wrong. If everyone dyed their hair blonde, there would be many more blondes than there are. Some do, some don't, but we're all free to choose what we prefer, starting with whether to dye one's hair at all.

I am a beauty school student & I see this A LOT. Once a new trend comes out its as if everyone has to do it. Some people just feel the need to keep up with what's considered "hot" or "trendy."

Not everyone has dyed blond hair. Anyway, some people like the hair color. It's the same reason why some choose to dye theirs white, green, black, rainbow - basically any color. Either that or peer pressure.

Well I'm a boy but I consider on us boys, short hair will be always better. Long hair doesn't CONSTANTLY show a sign of dominance. A person see most other guys with lengthy hair that doesn't look like they can fight. For example there is a boy in my school together with very long blonde hair.

honestly, i actually dont think you should do some thing that drastic. get some honey brown highlights or something. because if a person want platinum blonde hair, you are going to have to bleach the heck out of it.

I asked the lady who does my hair this and she just said they really like the color. I go red hair usually but blond does look better on some people.

This time of life, I should say, have made blondes a "beautiful but dumb" figure. So a lot of girls want to be "beautiful" and dye their hair. But they're both beautiful. Personally, I think there are more air-headed blondes than brunnettes, and more "flawless" blondes. But smart and personality will always be the really beauty.

People have asked if I dye my hair, but no, they're natural highlights. People have commented on how beautiful it is, but also, some people have suggested that I dye my hair blonde. Personally, I don't want to because I like my hair color the way it is, and second, I'm a 13 year old girl, I don't want to look fake af or like a plastic doll. I would believe many reasons. I have really dark hair, and I want to " strip" the color of hair in order to put " color" on top of it.

When you have really dark hair, you put color on top of it. The color doesn't show. Dark hair people have to be careful with bleaching it's hair, lifting it. Once it's lifted enough you have to try to get the brass, orange color out of your hair.

Then.. after 2 weeks you deposit the actual color of want you want it to be, then the color " really" shows with the deposit on your hair. My natural hair color is Dark brown, but right now.. the roots are growing out, and the bleach ends are fading. I have to deep conditioning my hair until it's ready to be bleached again, then dying it a new" color.

I had my hair Red brown, and it's no different with funky hair colors too. When you bleach it the color shows more, that's all.

There are tons of reasons. First thing first though: all hair colours are beautiful.
Now that that's out of the way I believe some people colour their hair because western society dictates that blonde is the best, blonde the most attractive and blondes have the most fun.
Others do it because blonde suits their personality or skin tone better.
Others do it because they like to experiment with hair colour or are bored with the same look and need a big change.
I personally have dark brown hair naturally but I do some blonde highlights on top because a) I am a stylist and stylists have to do something to their hair for the benefit of looking more stylish/looking more professional in the workplace/staying on trend with the latest hair styles and colours to attract clients to want to do the same. And b) because I am so pale and ghostly that my dark brown washes me out. I look way better with lighter hair.

Those who dye their hair blonde think it will make them prettier, desirable, etc. I've never understood it. I was born with black hair and the first time it was cut, it was a blue black color. I still have the many inches of hair from way back when. When women get older, gray hairs aren't so obvious. Some brunettes aren't going with the blonde. Angelina Kolie-Pitt is a gorgeorgeous brunette, as are many other women, in all walks of life. My step-daughter has the most beautiful long, thick, natural red hair. It is also has big natural curls. She is gorgeous. On girl I know dyes her hair blonde and then says she can act dumb because she is blonde....lol. Blonde hair, blue eyes, and big boobs is not quite as popular as it used to be, thankfully. Now it's the colored contacts. I have many friends that wear them. If someone wants to change the color of hair, wear colored contacts, have plastic surgery, it's a personal choice, and it is not my business. It's all a choice. And it affects females soooo much more than males. And just to clarify......it's not everybody. They do it because they can, and some think it will be the answer to all problems.

Personally, I do because I like lighter colors, because yellow is my favourite color. But there are girls who just do it because they think men prefer blondes (which is actually a question of a personal taste and honestly it's quite the opposite). Most of the Playboy models - Pamela, Victoria Silvestedt, Katie Price (when she started) etc. are blondes too and this has an influence because males like these women. The youtube famous girls usually are cute little blondes too.
