Is communications a decent major?

I noticed that I'm only 6 units short to be able to transfer to my CalState of desire with that major and it's been something that I've been thinking about switching to for the last several months. Lately I've been more fascinated with comm studies than anything else that I'm taking. I could easily knock out 6 units in one semester
