Are navy blue pants considered trousers?

For most people, the word "trousers" is more about fabric and style than about color. If the navy blue pants could be the bottom half of a suit, they're definitely trousers. Some people would also consider pleated or plain-front khakis (which no longer have to be khaki-colored) as trousers. Pants with cargo pockets, carpenter loops, decorated rear pockets, and the popular low-riding fit are all *not* trousers.
