Part b 題目問 The equation of the locus of M
The equation of the locus of M 正是在說 a 及 b 的關係

就好像 the circle：x² + y² = 9，代入P(r, s)，即 r² + s² = 9
r² + s² = 9 這正是在說 r 及 s 的關係

因為 Part a 已知 r 及 s 可分別寫為 2a 及 2b - 3
若把 r = 2a 及 s = 2b - 3 代入 r² + s² = 9 中，
這不就是說了 a 及 b 的關係嗎 ?
即 (2a)² + (2b - 3)² = 9 ⇔ 4a² + 4b² - 12b + 9 - 9 =0 ⇔ a² + b² - 3b = 0

把 a 及 b 分別換成 x 及 y
x² + y² - 3y = 0，這就是 the equation of the locus of M



(c)
The locus of M is a circle with radius 1.5 units and centre (0 , 1.5).
