Will this stay on my record, although no charges were made and no police were involved?

Terminated from my job for stealing, I didn't take anything myself however I did give out unauthorized discounts by lending customers my phone number to get the employee discount, and I helped someone bag up more than they payed for.

No. You're just fired. No criminal record unless you are convicted (even charged by itself doesn't count.)

If no police were ever involved then it's only on record at the place you worked. I would never use them for a reference since you will get a bad one.

It will remain on your record at the employer. Since you weren't convicted or even charged with a crime that is the only place it will be.
