when is world war 3 going to happen?

I have lived through some times when the world *truly* was on the brink of WW3 and/or nuclear apocalypse.

the 60's with the cuban misslie crisis, sabre rattling from both sides, the U2/Gary Powers incident {interesting fact.... It is claimed that war was averted on that occasion because it was a CIA spy mission rather than a military mission}
the 70's and 80's were equally precarious - who remembers Reagan being caught talking about Nuking Russia, when he thought his microphone was turned off?

I dont feel that Vibe now. I sense that Russia is more interested in reaping the "rewards" of capitalism than they ever have been in the past.

there may well be wars, which escalate - Syria and the Ukraine - but I dont get the sense that these are going to go global

Before World War 4

When people ask these questions I wonder...are they totally ignorant of what a world war is? A world war is a war between alliances so large that there are participants from every continent. ISIS has no allies. It is utterly incapable of carrying out warfare anywhere outside of a quite restricted area. If you're looking for excuses to feel fear, look somewhere else.

Who knows what could happen especially in the nuclear age,but I dont see anything in the world that would suggest even a regional conflict,let alone a world war for goodness sake. Why,just why would anyone plunge our peaceful world into a nuclear war ? Thats what the United Nations is here to prevent.

It has started already in some places, but is not a World War yet.
I expect that it will be a World War in about 10 years, give or take. But there is no way to be sure, and it could come sooner. In WWI and WWII, the US joined after it was well started in Europe and Asia. I don't know whether the US will delay this time; its tendency has been more proactive since WWII.
The crisis season in Western history started in about 2008, it has been nearly 10 years, so the time is growing close.

How could anyone seriously propose that a world war could be over a stupid terrorist group? A world war requires multiple major nations to be involved, and to be opposing one another. If anything everyone is opposing ISIS...

It still amazes when when people act today like we even MIGHT be near a world war. I guess you're too young to remember what things were like during the Cold War, when WW3 actually was a possibility.

Is World War 3 Coming

Well it's like the "big one" in California, every year the "big one" does not hit it builds up and builds up and builds up until finally ONE DAY it'll strike California with a devastating blow. No one knows WHEN, but everyone knows ONE DAY. Similarly no one can tell you exactly WHEN another big and devastating international War will occur, but we all have a good idea that it'll happen ONE DAY. Likely between the United States and Russia. The Cold War between the two powers started almost immediately after WW2, and although it seemed it was ended in the 1980s, the truth is that it didn't. Although the USA seemed to indefinitely end the spread of communism by the Russian nation, the Russians are continuing to take vital land in Europe and the Middle East, and all the USA and Russian powers can do is indirectly attack each other by attacking the friends of said nation. The Cold War between the two nations can and WILL only be settled by literal warfare and destruction of infrastructure.

People can say what ever they want but yes it is coming but there's no telling how or where it will start. it maybe because of the Chinese or the Russians, ISIS could be a trigger but it would probably have to be a bit more complicated than that as was World War1 and world War 2
