of course it depends on your ability to retain material and to get good grades, but a biology major is a lot harder than a psychology major, however the biology pays a lot more and with that you can repay your student loans back but with a psychology major you'll end up on the lower end of the pay scale. Of course you can always have psychology as your "minor" while you choose a major that would be lucrative.

Yes it is because of the many hours of on site therapy a psych major has to put in to become licensed after graduating from college. A psych major will need to secure a PhD. in Psychology in order to earn the most money and be credentialed and licensed as a psychologist, and that takes time. It takes the same amount of time to become a Doctor of Medicine. In this regard, your biology major will benefit you were you to consider becoming a Doctor of Medicine. I encourage you to pursue becoming a Doctor of Medicine because too many doctors will be retiring within the next ten years and there will be a greater shortage of doctors than there is now and you will be needed. Give this a lot of thought as it is a life changing decision to pursue a career as a Doctor of Medicine.
