With the announcement of youtube red, does it mean it will be paid no matter what video link you click to watch?

Yes, it will stay pretty much the same: ads every so often, all videos available except those that charge to view.

Paying for Red means you won't get any more added ads, and some of your money goes to whoever owns copyright on the videos.

Youtube will remain free. Youtube red is a subscription service which

1) removes ads
2) somehow links to google play
3) will offer some unique content only available to paid subscribers
4) maybe will expand to other stuff as well

The things you watch on youtube right now mostly shouldn't be affected.

Yes, you only have to pay money if you sign up for a no ad paid subscription service.

Yes.

As far as I know of, yes.

I believe they are only charging for movies and tv shows and certain videos which the uploader has chosen
2015-10-23 11:15 pm
Yes obviously would otherwise they'd be losing money rather than making it
2015-10-23 6:48 pm
I hope so
2015-10-23 4:01 pm
yes
2015-10-22 10:12 pm
They will be charging for some videos in the future. Not all.

I do know some youtube videos you have to pay for, like actual tv shows.

Yes. For videos that aren't sponsored by official movie-sellers.

Youtube will remain free for computer users. Yes, the paid version will have some advance feature which you can use only after buying youtube services.

I personally believe youtube will change in the future
2015-10-22 10:32 pm
I don't think so.

Yes in the same way that Yahoo's Flickr is still free for computer users. ie It's free but the ads are increasingly intrusive and make it practically unusable. So that everyone is driven to the paid for subscription.

It's not free. You are paying for it every time you pay for your internet. It's a search engine

Will make little difference. In a few years I predict youtube will be little more than billions of cell phone videos. Too much is already "this video may not be viewed in your country" (so, youtube, what do you have against the US?) or "sorry, this video has been removed".
