What is the traffic like on the M6 around Birmingham on a Friday afternoon?

It's like being in Satan's anus with a hungry crocodile.

If at all possible try a different route (the M6 Toll perhaps?) or just a different time altogether.

Total nightmare. It will start getting busy from around 4pm and will be gridlocked until at least 7pm. Also, if you mean THIS Frdiay remember its the start of half-term - so the roads will be even busier.
