Why are people so rude about my question, to as why my son and I are getting $15 towards my food stamps and $16 next month?
Yes I currently have a full time job getting $600 every other week but I'm paying house expenses okay.... Also getting child support $100 every week. I'm just trying to know why I pay bills like every other citizen

Your wages are $1300 a month ($600x26 paydays a year=$15,600 divided by 12=$1300). You also receive $100 a week which comes to $433 a month ($100x52 weeks divided by 12=$433). Therefore your monthly indicated, as counted by welfare, is $1733 a month. That is why your food stamps are so little - that plus the fact that food stamps are being reduced for everyone.
All welfare benefits are based upon income - not expenses. If you can't make it then you are going to have to find someway to cut down on your expenses.
If you want more information I suggest that you ask your caseworker for the specifics. You get what the law allows.
Ignore them. They are not raising your family; you are.
Besides, $15-$16 does not buy much food nowadays.
Also, $1200 a month, in most areas, barely covers the 'bills'.
You buy things, you have to pay for them. Nothing is free. You use water, gas, electricity etc., so you have to pay for them. That's why you pay bills like everybody else. Who do you think you are?
Because you have expenses. If you have expenses, you have bills.
Unfortunately there are many heartless people out there. But not everyone is a Republican.
