(Piecewise Function) How can X be lesser than AND greater than 1 at the same time?
I'm trying to graph this piecewise function:
f(x)=
2-x if -3≤x<1
sqrt(x) if x>1
The question is asking me to find the domain of the function, but I don't know how to write it if x<1 and x>1 at the same time ... help!

f( x ) = 2 - x if -3 <= x < 1 or f( x) = Vx if x > 1
Domain : [ -3 , 1 ) U ( 1 , positive infinity )
From [ - 3 to 1 ) you graph the function f( x ) = 2 - x then you graph f(x) = Vx from x> 1
1 > x > 1
You can keep an empty circle over x=1 on the graph, and use a line everywhere else.
