If you lived on Mars, which planets would describe retrograde motion? Which would never be visible as crescent phases?

That is a good answer. All 7 planets are less than full shaped, occasionally, from most any observation point in our solar system, including Mars, except possibly Mercury and Venus.

All planets show retrograde motion, inner or outer compared to your vantage point. But only the inner planets would show crescent phases- from Mars, that is Earth, Venus and Mercury.

Retrograde motion is seen when the planet you are on overtakes another planet in its orbit. Planets move faster the closer they are to the sun. So from Mars, you would see retrograde motion on any planets further out from the sun. (Jupiter, Saturn, Uranus, Neptune, Pluto)
