saddle training a horse?

you could start geting him used to it at 2,5years but best to start riding at 3 as you probably all ready know

around two... we start leading... ground work, a little sacking with blankets and such... ground skills take a while so that is pretty much a year worth if the horse is around.

keep things short and end the session on a high note...

Very late two year olds.... if the horse is solid and the knees have closed... we start under saddle and keep it real short for maybe a dozen sessions... give him the winter off.. and start serious green horse work as a 3 year old and remember-- go slow and don't over do it. They grow until they are 5 or later and you can overload a horse emotionally and mentally if you over do it early

Definitely consult with your vet before saddle training. Your vet can tell you when it is safe to start.
