NOVACAINE???!! HELP!!?

I'm getting novacine shots for an extraction tomorrow. I'm gunna get two extractions, so two shots on each tooth. They give the numbing gel before the shot, but I'm extremely Afraid of needles especially the ones in your mouth. I got ten extractions in the past. I was supposed to get my extractions two weeks ago, but I had to reschedule because I started crying and got to scared. Is there a way to not cry and be brave and get it done with or make it hurt less? And also if you could tell me things NOT TO DO after the extractions, and what to eat, it'd be helpful to have other options than having to live on mash potatoes for a few thanks! Wish me luck
