Is 95c too hot for my graphics card?

Hello, I'm running into a problem with my brand new graphics card. It's not handling games well at all as soon I turn graphics up passed low it starts to chop really really bad and then my cpu shuts down. I ran a test and my gpu is getting up to 95-97c, would that be the reason?

95 degrees Celsius is incredibly hot for a graphics card. I can't specifically tell you the issue with it without knowing a little bit more information like the brand, model, etc but that is way too hot for any GPU.

Possibly faulty & due to be returned for a replacement or refund. Try re-installing the driver first though.

Return the gpu seems like to me it's defective and try a different model of the gpu you have if not MSI they are good as well as asus gpu's
