How do I get my money from shipping back an item I refunded on Ebay?

I returned an item and I got paid back the money. But i returned it because the item was broken so I shipped it back and it cost me 24 dollars. Does the seller have to pay me for the shipping or does Ebay?

Nobody has to unless the seller made it clear in the listing that they cover the return cost. Many sellers make it clear that the buyer pays.

Depends upon the seller and the state laws where you live. In some states the seller of "defective" merchandise must, in fact, pay the return costs. In ANY state the seller is certainly authorized to offer that extra service free of charge, in the hope of keeping your future business.
