寫/講作repairs on my car是因為英語語法和詞彙表達上都會著重細節，中文「修車」表示修理全架車子(不會考慮是車的那部份的修理動作)，但英語用repairs(修理的眾數)表達了需要修理多個項目，而這些項目都是在你的這架車上的部件，因此便說成是on my car(即中文：我車子的XXXX)

假如要翻譯或把意思表達，便會不太中文語法/習慣講法：
我來電希望知道在我車子上需要做的多項維修/修理要到何時才能完成呢？
一般中文人不會這樣查詢吧！只會問：我想知道我的車子何時修好？
