My tongue takes the fizz out of carbonated drinks?

I just realized this when I bought some sodas yesterday, but everytime I drink a carbonated drink, it feels like the soda is boiling on my tongue but doesn't burn. After it stops, the soda is completely "watered" down. I don't remember this feeling on previous sodas, so is this something I should be worried about?

Don't worry. It has nothing to do with your tongue. I was wondering the same thing too.

of course you don't need to worry. Its digestive enzymes on your tongue that have always been there and you just now started noticing. How many people do you know that hold soda in their mouth till it no longer fizzes?? Normal people swallow it..

No. That is a natural reaction to the saliva in your mouth.
