Which one is better, replica or toy blaster?

I plan to buy a star wars han solo blaster from ebay. Which is preferable, prop replica or toy?
Prop replica seems to be a little bit scary cause it is a bit too realistic, but toy seems to be a little bit too childish? (I am no longer a teenager and I am entering early adulthood)
Would you please give out some suggestions of buying which type of blaster? Thanks a lot

The prop replica will, as you said, appear more like that witch was used in the movie. The toy will be a bit more rugged and possibly better suited for say a 10-15 year old.

Are you planning to cosplay? Most cosplayers prefer sonething that looks like it came from the movie. If you plsn to do mock combat, then of course there is the risk of damage.

I would go with the prop replica myself.

As for the iten in the picture, red looks hortible. But I guess in the name of safety it is better to run around with a toy gun that looks like a toy gun.
