While I agree with Landshark, it should be noted that ANY camera can take "really clear pictures" if the camera is used within its capabilities.

For example, if the lighting is good, bright outdoor, sunshine and the subject is nearby, no zoom is required and the camera is used on a tripod, the captured images will look great.

Conversely, if you spend "less than £100" and are expecting awesome lowlight image capture from a point and shoot camera of a subject that is 20 meters or more away, there is no camera in that price range that will do what you want.

You'd need to define 'really clear'

Get an old DSLR with kit lens on Ebay. Shutter actuations under 10,000 is good.

Look for compacts and bridge cameras with the 1/1.7" sensor. Canon s110, Nikon P330, Olympus XZ-2 ....

All the good brands have basic models at less than £100. Brands such as Nikon, Canon, Olympus, Sony, Panasonic, Pentax, Fuji. Avoid Vivitar and any "stores own brand".

Such cameras are available at any good photo retailer, or at many supermarkets.

At any camera store. Look for a Sony Cybershot.

Look on amazon for a camera called a Leica M9P. Very affordable and will satisfy your needs!
