You can control or change something when you are in total control of that field.
God being the creator is controlling everything in the universe. Elevate yourself to that position. You too can do it.

We cannot change or control anything except our own reaction or attitude toward what is.

Don’t be a victim of the Grand Illusion. No one has it any easier than anyone else, everyone has their challenges. We are all making mistakes. Life is about perception and focus. If we are not able to see and enjoy the good in our lives, all the fame and money in the world could not make us happy for long. We won’t be able to medicate ourselves enough to slay our internal demons (many of us try to do so for many years before we realize that it is futile). The problem is in our head and attitude.

What we are all looking for is peace of mind. Peace of mind is simply the absence of mental stress or anxiety. Worrying about what others have or do is silly. Be the creator of your own illusion. See the good in everything you purvey. Learn from the mistakes you make and move on, without fear.

The only constant in life is change. Learn and practice clear and honest critical thinking, it will help you to deal with these changes. You could start here: https://www.criticalthinking.org/pages/defining-critical-thinking/766

Happiness is an attitude of mind, born of the simple determination to be happy under all outward circumstances. The happiest of people don't necessarily have the best of everything they just make the most of everything that comes their way. Love and joy is an emotional experience, not a activity necessarily.

I have been working on my personal mental attitude for many years and have gotten a good hold on it. I choose to have a positive mental attitude and I almost always feel happy.

The greatest discovery of my generation is that we can alter our life simply by altering our attitude of mind. We cannot change our past. We cannot change the fact that people act in a certain way. We cannot change the inevitable. We cannot save the entire world in a day. The only thing we can do is play on the one string we have, and that is our attitude. We must BE the change we want to see. We can DO what we wish everyone would do. This is the place to start, and this will help us manage life’s constant barrage of changes.

The greatest day in your life and mine is when we take total responsibility for our attitudes. That's the day we truly grow up. Attitudes are a secret power working twenty-four hours a day, for good or bad. It is of paramount importance that we know how to harness and control this great force.

Our attitudes control our emotions. Our emotions control our lives. We control our attitudes.

Get your THINK on and check your attitude. I know you can figure it all out.

Good luck, love, and peace to you, forever.

Well, the bad news is that you can't really control reality. However, since God is a social construct, you can easily change allegiances. Just try not to piss off any of the really angry Gods who kept asking for human sacrifices a couple of centuries ago.

Both "control" and "change" are illusions, and are mental abstractions projected by the minds sequential observation that presumes "cause and effect" as a causal agent of what appears to be 'change.' People easily forget that the mind is limited, and it's perception is a "filter", and cannot conceive Truth and Reality, as is. We are so conditioned by it that the linear and material programming is hardly ever questioned. The mind cannot directly detect what is all around us, therefore it relies on perception to compress particle/wave forms into patterns the senses can register, and interprets them as "physical."

What occurs at the quantum/subatomic levels precede perception, and nullifies the reality the mind sees. What the mind takes to be reality is typically believed to be 'real' or 'actual', when it is really, at best, only an approximation. As more people become privy to this discovery, it is not uncommon for people to then question reality and the actuality of our existence, which is a mistake and really besides the point. It is the mind and it's perception that must be questioned.

Reality is all there is, was, or ever will be. It does not and cannot "change" to "non-reality", which has no existence to even potentially come to be. Everything simply, 'is' what it is, and is aware that it is, by way of being what it is, without names, labels or descriptions imposed by the mind's perception and commentary. The totality of all of existence is a result of the nonlinear process of unmanifest potential fulfilling itself and emerging as the actual manifest, when condition are optimal. Each moment is total and complete in itself as universe unfolds instant to instant at the speed of light.

The perception of sequence, which is only in the mind and not in Reality, creates the illusion of control and change. This is a result of taking an impersonal reality and existence personally, where "I am the source and benefactor of what is preferred, and what is not preferred is projected externally as the cause of what happens to me by some undetectable force." You cannot control or change reality, only your perception of it.

You can do anything and everything, if you have that kind of will-power and bull-dog determination. But the fact of the matter is, it is spiritual. It is a loaded question and you should try to reduce its weight on the customer. Thus help the philosophers.

Quote:

A loaded question or complex question fallacy is a question that contains a controversial or unjustified assumption (e.g., a presumption of guilt).

Aside from being an informal fallacy depending on usage, such questions may be used as a rhetorical tool: the question attempts to limit direct replies to be those that serve the questioner's agenda.[2] The traditional example is the question "Have you stopped beating your wife?" Whether the respondent answers yes or no, they will admit to having a wife and having beaten her at some time in the past. Thus, these facts are presupposed by the question, and in this case an entrapment, because it narrows the respondent to a single answer, and the fallacy of many questions has been committed. The fallacy relies upon context for its effect: the fact that a question presupposes something does not in itself make the question fallacious. Only when some of these presuppositions are not necessarily agreed to by the person who is asked the question does the argument containing them become fallacious. Hence the same question may be loaded in one context, but not in the other. For example, the previous question would not be loaded if it was asked during a trial in which the defendant has already admitted to beating his wife.[2]

This fallacy should be distinguished from that of begging the question (not to be confused with raising the question), which offers a premise whose plausibility depends on the truth of the proposition asked about, and which is often an implicit restatement of the propositio.

Unquote.

Reality is an illusion of the mind, created.by data and turned into perception via consciousness. It can always be changed. I suggest art (painting, poetry, theatre) as a gateway to changing your.consciousness. It's an interesting idea and an excellent idea for philosophical study. Cosmetics for.reality.

Reality can be controlled by being a part of it

You cannot change the world, but you can create your own reality.
Your decision is the key. Be an optimist. It always helps to see things in a bright view.
Just be yourself, be who you are meant to be. When there is a choice, don't let others control your decisions. You gonna think, then make your own decision. Or if the others are offering a better choice, follow. However, please don't do nothing.

Antoine de Saint-Exupery: “Behind all seen things lies something vaster, everything is but a path, a portal, or a window opening on to something other than itself.”

Albert Einstein: “The most beautiful and deepest experience a man can have is the sense of the mysterious... He who never had this experience seems to me, if not dead, then at least blind. The sense that behind anything that can be experienced there is a something that our mind cannot grasp and whose beauty and sublimity reaches us only indirectly and as feeble reflection, this is religiousness. In this sense I am religious. To me it suffices to wonder at these secrets and to attempt humbly to grasp with my mind a mere image of the lofty structure of all that there is.”

The Buddha: “Both delusion and enlightenment originate within the mind, and every phenomenon arises from the functions of the mind, just as different things appear from the sleeve of a magician.”

Joseph Campbell: “When you follow your bliss... doors will open where you would not have thought there would be doors; and where there wouldn t be a door for anyone else.”

Victim of need to control...do you mean control consciousness? There is nothing to change about reality that doesn't already take place every day, without our permission. Change your ideas and definitions about reality or God, and in spite of that, the usual facts surrounding you as a person, hopefully stay the same, so you can feel comfortable in your skin. If this is not a concern, at least be with someone who understands. For the person who decides he must control reality, there is no kickback, no profit, no significant representation of yourself that would make you a hero to your descendants or to the public. There are really two effects possible. The first is admirable, the person will emerge victorious over his peers and most of the world at a higher plane of morality, taking his seat with the likes of Martin Luther King, Mahatma Ghandi, Abe Lincoln, or Nelson Mandela, to mention a few. On the other hand you might descend into a hopeless chasm of madness, no longer with an anchor in reality, not even a recognition of self.
