hi, so a couple of weeks ago I signed up to Stonebridge college online to do a course in child physcology. I optioned to pay the 9.99 deposit and then pay 47.99 evrry mo9nths for 6 months as I couldn't afford the full lot to come out all at once. anyway they ended up taking a deposit and the full lump some from my bank. I contacted them to change this and they were very rude with me on the phone with one owmen even laughing at me about the fact I couldn't afford to pay the full 300 at once for the course. I decided after speaking to a horrible rude customer service team to cancel my course. I sent a hand written letter to cancel the course and explaining why. I tracked the letter 1st class and I no that they have the letter. but nobody is getting back to me. what happens if they don't read the letter until 7 days after purchasing this? can I still get my money back as they took the money with no permission to do so.

also if I contact my bank on Monday and explaiun to them what happened can they get me my money back?
I have enmailed the company a lot of times and nobodys getting back to me and talking to the customer service on the phone is just a joke.

I would also strongly advise anybody not to use Stonebridge college online as there not too legit.

thank you!! 10 points to best answer

One look at the website and it tells you this is no college but a private company, colleges have a "ac.uk" web address, regardless of what they call themselves........ hope you kept a copy of that letter as you will need it. Sure contact your bank and inform them they took more money than you signed and agreed for them to take, it can be called back if it is only just done......... then go and speak to CAB about getting help in what you can /can't do
