My puppy just ate a slug!?

I have a 10 week sprollie puppy and he was in the garden this morning when I found him with a dead slug in his mouth! I know this can cause lungworm and just wanted to check if he will be okay!?!?

Stop being so rude. I'm in the East Midlands my dog is a stronger cross collie and yes I do know how much excersise he will need because I've had border collies and springer Spaniels before!!!!!

Slugs die after eating bait so he needs to be treated for poisoning asap. Phone your vet straight away, they will know if he is at risk from lungworm as well.
This is a world wide site so we cant give a better answer.

What the hell is a sprollie.

Get the pup covered... see a vet and see what age they can have advocate from and use that when the pup is old enough.

And you don't have a 'sprollie' you have a springer spaniel cross collie, and I do hope you are ready for the amount of activity this dog needs.

How the hell would we know? You haven't given your location so we have no idea if lungworm is endemic in your area. Frankly I'd be just as worried about the puppy ingesting slug bait.
Get him to the vet immediately if there's any chance he's ingested slug bait. If you are in an affected area, you should get him to the vet for a preventive.

Take the mutt to your vet - some slugs can be toxic.
