Halloween costume question?

Hi so I want to be medusa for Halloween and all of the outfits for it are suuuuppperr cheesy so I was thinking that I could like just wear some regular clothes and cool makeup with the snake wig and that people would sort of figure it out. But I don't know what to wear. Jeans and a crop top? A dress? A top with a skirt? I'm 13 so nothing to slutty please LOL. Thanks for the answers! Oh and any links would be appreciated too.
