Will a 1760 on my past SAT affect my college acceptance?

I took the SAT for the first time in March of this year without any studying at all and I got a 1760... I know it isn't horrible but I am still extremely sad that I didn't study. Right now I am doing an SAT bootcamp thing where I take 2 full length practice tests every week and go to Saturday school to review the tests and learn strategies. On the recent practice test that I took I got a 2040 which I was extremely happy about because the tutoring company's tests are designed to be more difficult than the college board ones. So if I take the October SAT and get a 2100 and then I take the November one and get a 2200, will the 1760 look bad for colleges?? Will they even see it? HELP!

First of all, don't take the test in October and November. It is a waste of your time and money. If you think you are prepared, take it in October. Otherwise wait until November. Do your best and be done Universities do not like to see 3+ tests. It is assumed that a student will do better each time they take the test simply based on having experience with the test.

Could your 1760 hurt you? Maybe. If you are applying to a highly selective university, you would prefer to have the higher score shine alone.

most colleges will accept the best out of three scores
