My dog is lost and I'm afraid it is one someone would rather keep than give back?

I lost my dog. She ran away because she's a very curios dog. She wasn't trying to run away from us but she was just like loddy da I just want to go explore the world. She is a small shih Zhu. The question is if someone has the dog, would they keep it? Do you think it's lost for good because nobody wants to return it? I miss her so much! How do I get my dog from someone if I knew they had her but they didn't admit it because they wanted to keep her?
更新1:

I have so far put up flyers, passed them out, I have feinds doing the same. They all say reward on them. (Amount is nogiaciatable) (I will pay anything to save my precious animal). I have also put up going around the neighborhood door to door (not done with that yet) and I have posed it on our neiboorhood website. Also Facebook. What els can I do that is effective in my neighborhood?

更新2:

Also she is not chipped and she does not have a California license because the authorities pushed a bunch of 1000 dollar fees on me that arnt even lagit (which is why I have. It gotten in trouble for not paying). But they keep bothering me. Their pissing me off because I can't afford it..

更新3:

You might think or say that if I can't afford that I can't afford a dog but dogs are my companion and it is medically required for me because I tend to become very extremely depressed without a dog. I'm not a cat hater at all but I'm also not a cat lover. I think cats can be cool but it depends on their personality weather I like them or not. If their freindy, loving, and she affection then I love them. I absolutely melt with animals like that. I love them so much.

更新4:

But dogs are like than more than cats. I may get depressed without a do or just an animal that shows they love me. I need a dog or I'm gonna start to get depressed. I already am more depressed without one because she is lost which worries me more. What if.shes being abused no I don't want that.

You say the dog is not microchipped? Then you can't link her to the paperwork you have which says you bought her. Don't have those?
Not legally your dog then. You can't prove that this dog is your own.
Most likely will end up in a shelter/pound and once identified as having no microchip she will be put up for adoption to the public (usually after a 14 day holding period in which she can be claimed, but only with proof of ownership)

"She ran away because she's a very curios dog."

NOT! She ran away because you failed to constantly supervise and contain her securely.

She may have been poisoned, beaten, used for target practice, stolen, sold to a lab, used as a bait dog, eaten by a predator and/or: http://i40.photobucket.com/albums/e224/GLLNTKNIGHT/6_zpsda193ce0.jpg all due to your negligence.

She may be better off in another home that Really Cares.

Please don't get another pet until you learn to become a responsible owner.

The dog is not medically required and is nothing more than a pet with the same restrictions as any other pet. Your depression can be treated by a psychiatrist/psychologist/therapist and medications.

Your dog ran away because someone let her out without supervising her.
If you didn't have the dog chipped or wear ID tags / license - just how do you expect the dog to get back to you? The dog can't tell people where she lived!

IF you get the dog back, be much more responsible with the dog. When you know you have a runner, you keep the dog on a leash or only let the dog loose in an enclosed fenced-in area.

I just hope the dog isn't lying dead in a ditch somewhere ... hit by a car.
It would be much better for this dog if it has found a new home with people who will take care of it.

Is your dog microchipped? If yes, then you stand a chance of getting her back. Have you checked with the shelters in your area every day? She may have been turned in as a stray. Have you contacted all the bets and groomers in your area? She is going to need medical care and grooming eventually. Have you put up posters everywhere possible with her photo on it and your contact information? If you don't, how will anyone know she wasn't abandoned?

I never heard of a La Di Da dog but maybe your Shih tzu is.

They'll keep it. Small dogs are in high demand and even mixes go for hundreds of dollars. You should have kept her leashed. Be comforted by the fact that she will be kept or sold to someone who wants a pet, and pampered and treasured and spoiled.
OTOH, if you DO know who has her, call the police and report her stolen.

It really deends on who found her. The best thing is lost posts on fb or around town/city and offer a reward and see if anything turns up
