Can someone explain how to get th x=2 because i keep getting x=6 and that's apparently incorrect.
Whats the solution when solving this graphically?
2(x+1)+2=x+6

2(x + 1) + 2 = x + 6
First multiply out the brackets .
2x + 2 + 2 = x + 6
Collect 'like' terms.
2x + 4 = x + 6
Simultaneously subtract 'x' from both sides and '4' from both sides
2x - x + 4 - 4 = x - x + 6 - 4
Collect 'like' terms.
x = 2
As required !!!!
