What is the best camera for beginners? I love photography and take good pics but want to move up a step and buy a professional camera.?

There are professional photographers. There are not professional cameras. You cannot afford the type of camera a Pro would use.

Cameras recognized as professional level equipment cost thousands of dollars. Is that what you're looking for?

The cheapest full frame camera is the Nikon D620 , which is around $1,200 just for the refurbished body .
You don't need to buy more camera than you can understand how to use .
You're years away from needing a " professional camera ".
I can get professional results with my entry level cameras...
Look at something like a refurbished Nikon D3100 / D3200 / D3300...with a 18-55mm VR lens .
Now go to youtube to see the how to videos they have ...

Im the same as you! I just got the Nikon D3300 and its awesome - recommended by professional photographers as a great 1st proper camera! And also, it is a universal lense fit so you dont have to buy super expensive lenses to fit :)

you can buy a canon sx5?? for about 199+ and it comes with 40x optical zoom, flash, tripod, and canon strap. it pictures are clearer than the cameras these people are talking bout... you can use VSCO cam for awesome editing filters

There is no such thing as a "professional" camera, but indeed pros and enthusiasts do use upmarket cameras which give good quality image files.

"500" - US dollars? At that price you can buy an entry-level DSLR, or an upmarket bridge camera. Take very little notice of the number of Mps -any camera at that price will have more than you need. Ideally you should go to a good photo retailer, rather than Walmart, since a photo retailer knows about cameras.
