How is not having a white history month any different than having only a black history month? Seems like discrimination.?
If America is land of the free and brave, cradle of democracy, we should have a white history month where we celebrate all the beneficial things white Europeans have given this world. :) We only have a black history month. That to me is unfair and racist.

You really don't get it, do you.
Linda makes a valid point. Why separate racial or ethnic diversities and studies into different months when it would be so much less dividing if we could only mix everything all together? For example, why teach about Columbus discovering America during one part of the year and then during a special month talk about the black sailor who was sent ahead to scout out the landscape once the ships arrived? Instead, why not talk about Columbus discovering America and then having one of his men, a black man, go on out to scout the land to make sure it was all safe? If need be there could be a more extensive review of characters not so extensively studied in years past. But still, it could all be done in the same study period.
A German dude crying discrimination? There's something I never thought I'd here. Best run along now, you need to get the exhaust fixed on your Golf...
Simples...
For heaven's sake! Get over it. There's no need to look for discrimination, unfairness and racism where it doesn't actually exist - there are plenty of examples where it really does exist, and Black History Month is hardly one of those examples.
Oh come on. You are an idiot and do not smile at me.
Well, it was created because at the time 12 months of the year were white history months. Now I think we shouldn't restrict black history to one month of the year. If I remember correctly, women now get their own history month. While it is nice, I don't see limiting them to one month either.
